JD aka Jeff's Story
Life
My wife & I presently live in Eugene, OR. We moved from the Tampa Bay area in February of '07.
In Tampa Bay, I served Consultant Electrical Engineers in the commercial/industrial construction trade as sales engineer for a commercial surge protection manufacturer (APT). Since moving to Eugene I have been the Sales Manager for Bike Friday travel bikes, most of a year with SolarCity as a Commercial Solar Consultant, and now with Advanced Energy Systems in Eugene, selling commercial solar systems throughout the Willamette Valley region of Oregon.
I closed the doors to Jaques Studio in downtown Lancaster in mid 1984 after operating it for 3-1/2 years as a professional photographer. In the late 80's thru mid 90's I participated in regional and national mountain and road bicycle racing. In the '92-'93 season, I competed on the 'Everything But Water' road cycling squad and Cannondale's first-ever amateur, factory-sponsored mountain bike team.
I lived in Florida from '85 to '07, spending fifteen years in Orlando. I moved to Tampa Bay in '98 to join a new company. I'm strongly interested in product design and marketing, a...Expand for more
s well as bringing renewables to commercial markets.
If you're planning to visit Central Oregon or even stopping into Portland anytime, drop a line & let's hook up. It would be good to hear from any classmates that remember me (not likely, eh) and catch up on things... - JD

College
I spent one year at the Columbus Business University off Morse Road in Columbus. I did this in lieu of my Senior year of High School by taking my World Government class following the summer of the Junior year and graduating early.
Workplace
Currently I'm involved with a locally owned commercial solar integrator, selling PV systems to business owners in an attempt to control energy costs, take advantage of tax benefits, and reduce 'green house gases' by generating clean power from the sun.
Whether you're a believer or not, we do not currently have a bridge to the future for energy and transportation. Oil and coal will not save us as the CO2 emissions are too high, and the tipping point is nigh. If you're smart, you'll invest in companies that are producing solar equipment, biogas, biomass and biofuel related solutions. My money's on Evergreen Solar, Earth Biofuels, World Water, Capstone Microturbines, Satcon, Enerdel 1, and Solomon Technologies.
