Jeffery's Story
Well, let's see.. joined the Navy right out of high school...boot camp in San Diego, assigned to a guided missile cruiser..went twice to Vietnam..got out in 1975. Week later was hired by the USPS, carried mail for city of Hawthorne and Palmdale for 16 years...joined the Navy Reserve in 1986, was recalled to Active Duty for Desert Storm/Desert Shield. Released back to the reserves and subsequently was accepted back to Active Duty in 1991. Retired from USPS with 20 years of being a mule...that was great. around the world three or four times, one three ships, two FA-18 squadrons, two major staffs, work with Seabees, Seals, Navy Air, and Surface commands. Chief Petty Officer with 22 years of Active Duty...presently working up in Port Hueneme at the Navy Reserve Center. Divorced with a great Son, Mark - who's now 34 years old living in Newport Beach, so being back in California is great. After I retire who knows, might just ride my Harley all over the place and chill...don't have to get a job as my two retirements and uncle sam will take good care of me.
