Jeffey's Story
I obtained a BFA in Communication Arts & Design 1996; I am a professional graphic designer living in San Francisco CA. I have an incredible boyfriend Richard Davis who is as handsome as he is charming; he is currently pursuing his masters degree in Geography. His experinces with the Peace Corps in Mali have given him a unique perspective as an Americain. He is my best friend and understands me more than anyone I have ever met. I believe in love again!
I was diagnosed with HIV in 1994 and am still going strong with a large appetite for life, adventure, travel, and the arts; i owe this largely in part to taking some time off from the stressful corporate work force and taking advantage of the multitude of community resources available for a gay man with HIV in San Francisco.
I am looking to return to the workforce and obtain a masters degree in Fine Arts in order to teach; Graphic/Client driven design comes with a level of stress which I found was detrimental to my current paradigm and serostatus.
I use art to keep sane as I believe the world to currently be an disconneccted changing place; currently insane. Changing by the advantage offered via the techonological hallmark of the human evolutionary experience of connectivity, interaction, and intellegence; the human sprit's progression as fueled and supported by faith.
I believe in airplane therapy to keep perspectives open; retail therapy because its fun; and therapy in London on Sundays for rubbing up next to shirtless hunks to good electronica for a celebration of the phsycial to spiritual and living on the edge of modern civilization with respect enough to challenge the status quo and its traditions.
I believe in keeping it simple, especially when it comes to family; which includes every living being on the planet; honesty is the foundation for that simplest of principles for healthful living. I revere and respect my elders; try to listen well; and speak my mind when I believe it to be a contribution for a good debate/argument/ and an issue I have a strong opinion about.
Back to family, It is important to spend time with and create your own, esp. when traditional family values are just starting to accept gay as a family word; gay peers are now present in the media and gay marriage is a civil right we are trying to obtain outside of religion and its views on homosexuality.
I believe in subjective creationism, my own spiritual belief which respects that everyone's heaven has a place in existence; religious ritual is a construct organized and unifying in practice and mythologies-- which are to be respected even when not understood as long as considered a progressive contribution to the human evolutionary experience; self supportive by allowing faith; to be supplanted soon intelligently by admission of the benefits of tolerance of another's belief system and way of life.
I hold Gandhi and Bono as my heros for their message to humanity and its possbilities. I do not tolerate abuse of ignorance, powers, or belief systems. Might does not make right and the ends are the means. I consider both genius by action of non violence exemplified by Gandhi and the popular culture audience Bono has reached via communication vehicles such as MTV, radio, and emotional push media of music.

This metric was not capable; did not alter achievements of prior historical indications fo aesthetics for human progression metric via the contributions of the Renaissance--which gave us noblility's practice and ability to recognize journalism and invention for the strength in ability; birthing necessity to create innovation of ideals as invention and creative force inherent in cognition's abilities and its possiblities for the present and future; onto the success of captialism to allow competititon to produce superior inventions based upon marketplaces and integrity of business ethics, successful out-of-the box thinking allowing new revenue streams via the information age and technology which was made possible by the Age of Reason and Science; bringing us to what may be the most important croossroads of what i see as the human evolutionary experience via the Interenet and its unbiased journalism of real world economics, civil humane rights upheld as basic by every religion, and the currently outdated evolutionary mechanism of greed as needing to be reconsidered. This paradigm shift in thought, and tis impact upon human metrics for progression is capable of altering the foundation humane existence on earth and its contribution to a symbiiotic awareness of "organism earth."
Economics gave us disparity; world perspective want equaltiy of resources and civil rights as basic tenets of being human and alive as upheld in the simplest teachings of every religion; outside of violence, holy wars either by human or gods, a mythology of enterianing with strings resonation throughout art history and now simplified by necessity of belief in each other's right to a dignified life of living well, in practice and in theory.
