Then one day I woke up with a Pulled hamstring, or so I thought. I had lots and lots of therapy and a ton to hospital test but they could not fine anything wrong. The pain got worse and was going up my back. It got to the point that every morning I woke up, it felt like I got hit by a bus. To make a long story short, after seeing about 10 specialists, I was diagnosed with a neuro-muscular disease called 'Stiff Persons Syndrome'. Only about a million people have it and there is no cure. The pain never goes away. Life is pretty hard to deal with but my wife and our 9 year old autistic grandson needs me. I also look forward to the day I spend eternity with Christ. [UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 2009 - CLEVELAND CLINIC SAYS I DON'T HAVE STIFF PERSONS BUT HAS NO IDEA WHAT I HAVE AND THEY DISCHARGED ME. I HAVE NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT IT IS STIFF PERSONS] It looks like they are going to call it Chronic Pain Syndrome. Regardless, the pain is getting so much worse and i canât take it any more. THIS SUCKS BIG TIME!!!!! Where's House when you need him.".
