Our 2010 Class Reunion was the best ever yet! My Dad chauffeured Felicia (Cohen) Sampson and me in my Mom's classic '57 Ford. I think they had as much fun taking us as we did going! Whoever thought of the name tag "game" was funny...we had pick a tag that wasn't our own and then mingle/walk around to find your own tag. I didn't have to look too hard; the person who had mine found me first within the first 30 minutes;-) It sure was great seeing everyone and catching up with old friends and making new friends. Look forward to the next one and hope more people will be there. Thanks to the Reunion Committee!! ***** 2010 Update to story: Now have two more granddaughters (one born to each of my sons). Getting together with a few Rio friends every month or so...just for fun;-) Had a great time bowling in February and celebrating Joe S's birthday in May (he's in Class of '74) Anyone can join us if they want!! Looking forward to our 35th class reunion in October. ***** Previous story written in 2008 (some parts updated): Almost right out of high school and after some college, I got a job with Caltrans. By the time we had our first class reunion, I had been married for three years and had one son with the second one on the way. We were married for almost 22 years and had always won the prize for longest married at all the reunions until the 20th ... I'm sorry, but as they say... --it happens... My oldest son, Jason, moved up to Utah with his Dad, Cliff, when McClellan AFB closed down. Jason met someone up there and has been married for 6 years. My youngest son, Ken, was married for 3 years, but sadly is now divorced. Both my sons have children...so now I'm a Gramma! Jason has two daughters, a 3 yr. old & a 3 month old; and Kenny has a son, 5 yrs. a daughter, 4 yrs. & a 6 month old daughter. Thel three oldest grand-babies share the month of February for their birthdays....hmmmm I re-married about 8 years ago and also left ...Expand for more
