Jen's Story
Life
Well, I went to Butte for a year after graduating, just doing general education. Then I did exactly what I had panned on, and took soon time to just goof off. After I got that out of my system, I worked as an office assistant for a local Janitorial Company. I then joined the California Conservation Corps, and lived in Tahoe for a year and a half. I found my passion there, as I learned that I can rock a chainsaw as well as any man out there. I earned a class B fallers certificate (that means I am certified to fall a tree up to 2 feet in diameter). I earned about $4000 in Scholarships by completing the CCC program and and AmeriCorps term, then landed myself back in Chico. I am Presently working for Feather River Hospital in Environmental Services (that's a glorified term for "Housekeeping", but hey, for $9.20/hr, I can learn to like just about anything! o the Forest Service. This is not for the sole purpose of wielding a chainsaw. The passion I mentioned earlier is for saving the earth. I have become extraordinarily environmentally conscious, and I realize that there is no hope for the people of this earth if we do not care for the earth iself first and foremost.
School
Well, I think everyone would know that would be Brian White. Does he still qualify as a crush if I actually got him at one point? I miss Braunie! The drama teacher, duh. I always told her that I would come back and visit, but never did. I found out recently that she doesn't teach there anymore. ;(
