Jena's Story
Life
My biggest and most recent news is that I had a baby girl in August of 2004. I am loving motherhood and could never imagine it would be this much fun. She is a great, easygoing baby so she has made the transition into parenting very smooth. I have been married for 2 1/2 years and met my husband during college.
College
I went to college and played volleyball at Indiana State University. Although it was a hard adjustment to fit classes, practice and a social life all together, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I didn't get to play as much as I would have liked, but making some great friends, as well...Expand for more
as not having to pay for school was a great trade-off. I enjoyed the traveling to play other universities, as well as the partying and hanging out with friends when I came home.
Workplace
I didn't work much in high school due to playing sports. In college after volleyball was over, I worked a lot at the YMCA trying to build up my resume for working with children since I was an Elementary Education major. I worked as a summer camp counselor and had a blast! Since graduating, I have earned my teaching license and am currently in my 4th year of teaching. Although the pay sucks, I really enjoy what I do!
