Jennifer's Story

Life I've been married since 9/02. I moved to West Virginia in late 2003. We have a big fixer-upper house there that we are still "fixing-up". I want a big family so I didn't want to buy a little house, but we could only afford one that needed work if we wanted lots of rooms. I'm not far into WV... just past Harper's Ferry, so it's 30 min. from Frederick MD. (If anyone remembers going to Lallapalooza... I live there) The best thing about living here is our new church. I've been a born-again Christian since 10/01. (soon after 911) It was nice to get away from Edgewater traffic, too! I still have the red camaro, but I drive a Hyundai daily. I currently commute to Maryland for work. I'm the very best Nanny to some really great kids. I also drive to Edgewater and the Glen Burnie area to visit family. We like to run off to New York a few times a year, which has taken the place of Ocean City. The only person from High School that I've spent any time with recently is Holly. My husband has a little boy, so I'm a step-mother. I have not been able to get pregnant so far, but we do want more kids. All of my time and energy is focused on my home, work, and siblings. The oldest sibling of four is currently attending SRHS. Matthew is now 16! And, guys... we're getting pretty damn old these days... I just turned 26!!! School Crushes? Hey does anyone else think that Steve Bissett looks just like Russell Crowe??? (Gladiator, etc.) So, anyway that was a big crush of mine. I mean it happens... we get crushes. I still kinda liked Andrew Goff up until senior year too. My biggest crush ever though was Chris Speaks (but that was mos...Expand for more
tly middle school). Pretty much the only person to be "crushing" on me was Sean Mooneyham. (but that started in middle school too) Teachers? I still love Ms. Finlayson. (SP?) English/Debate teacher. Just the very thought of considering the biasness of every source of information you use in your life, the idea of taking the time to know your opposition's views before you make up your mind to stand for or against something, and the joy she had in us as her students when we did put it all together and present ourselves as strong, knowlegable and confident speakers... those things have stayed with me more than any memories of any other teacher. Friends Then and Now? I guess I would say that my closest friends in school were Holly Ball and Jennifer O'neil, However by senior year I kept to myself a lot. I was pretty opinionated and a bit prideful. Like I said in my "Life" Bio, Holly is the only person I've really met up with since high school. Jen is an accomplished 3rd grade teacher now and working on further accredidations, and we talk I guess about once a year. Oh, and back before I got married I hung out with Matt Clothier on a daily basis... I hear he's in the city with his girlfriend of three years and attending art school. Do it over again? NO, not any of it!!! Overall, I'm extremely relieved that I don't have to go back and relive something like "my high school years", and especially not the years after high school... cause I was a real mess then, too. A REAL mess. I'm pretty content with where I am now, and I awknowledge each small thing that has made me who I am today. Any stories to share? I'm sure I could think of something later...
