Jennifer's Story
Hi! I was only at La Porte my junior and senior year, but I have wonderful memories of my time there. Now as I scroll through the alumni list,I realize there are so many people I never really got the chance to know, but SOME of you I will never forget!! : )
I cried for two days when I found out that my old boyfriend George Otwinowski had died unexpectedly, and it made me see that we never know how much time we have left to connect ( or reconnect) with people in this life, so I'm doing a little more of that when I have time. Put your stories up people! You never know whom you impacted in life and who still remembers you fondly...
The quick version of my life since H.S.-Went to IU for two years then up to the IUPUI Medical School and got my degree in physical therapy. Moved to San Francisco right after graduation then after two years moved to Santa Barba...Expand for more
ra, CA where I spent 20 great years, had a son (Jack-now 18) and a daughter(Katrina-now 14). Sold our beautiful house by the beach because I saw the real estate collapse coming and moved to Austin Texas. We're loving it here! My husband Jeff retired from the police force and is Director of Security at a huge mall and I see patients on a flexible schedule so I can spend alot of time with the family. We have 3.5 acres and 3 giant schnauzers to roam all over them ! I got to travel alot earlier in my life, but the highlight was attending the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway to watch Cindy Meyer compete in short track speed skating. (remember her? she was the foriegn exchange student from South Africa our senior year). In all it's been a good life, though every life has ups and downs.
