Jennifer's Story
Jennifer left for Germany shortly after high school, lived there a year and came home. That was the beginning of a lifetime of travels to places where she took residence: Jamaica, Mexico and El Salvador, exploring various cultures.
Jennifer now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband, Gustavo Perez their Pug and their cat. She currently works as a novelist, writing her third book, ALL THAT'S HOLY.
Jennifer spent a rewarding career working in marketing communications as a content writer, a marketing and PR Manager for a flagship power supply company, a well-known video game company and human machine interface and real-time operations management software.. From there, she became a consultant and content writer for her own company, JennyWrens Content, writing radio ads for people such as: Ricardo Montelongo as she ventured into creative writing.
Music Jennifer likes includes Radio Robledo, Dr. Loco's Rockin' Jalapeno Band, Los Pericos and every type of Jazz and Blues made.. Books include everything by Chuck Palahniuk, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Isabel Allende. Movies Jennifer likes include Babel, The Big Lebowski and Voces inocentes.

articles, essays and poetry are a reflection, mirroring societal attitudes dealing with Hispanic issues.
While living in Tijuana she published several short stories, poetry, flash fiction and essays until her ex husband became the focus of a group of organized criminals. The couple was forced to flee Mexico and request asylum for her husband in the U.S. After his deportation to El Salvador in 2010, Ms. Lawson Perez followed him there and was held sequestered against her will. She was rescued and brought home by the U.S. Department of State after being held for four months. She returned to the U.S. to end up homeless until she recovered her life, months later.
In July of 2005, Ms. Lawson-Perez's first chap book, "Corozon en Esperanza" was published. It features poetry and short stories about what she saw living for a year in El Salvador. That same year, she published her first novel, ANASTASIA AND THE CUBAN through Siren-Bookstrand.
She is currently working on another novel, ALL THAT'S HOLY, a memoir entitled SAVE ME SALVADOR and painting cubist images of her recollections of El Salvador and thematic paintings of Moroccan scenes.
