Jennifer's Story

Life It has been a tough year for everyone, it seems. But when I count my blessings, I find that I am in a better situation than many others. Here's what's been happening in the Maier household: My son Deion is now 16 and now has his license. He still has no hair and we will be going to find out if he truly has Alopecia or if he is just being difficult. You'd think not being able to grow hair would hinder his social life...think again! The phone rings off the hook and it is NEVER for me anymore! He is a straight A student when he gets his work in on time (he says it's a waste of his time and energy-I hope he grows out of this phase..) He is in advanced classes and is well liked by almost everyone (a SHARP contrast to the way I was in school, huh??) He will be attending SVSU in the fall and will no longer be going to high school. He will finish high school AFTER getting his Associates Degree and working toward Pre-Med. He just got back from Georgetown University where he was invited to attend a medical conference and it pretty much solidified his choice of becoming a doctor (YEAH!!). My 11 year old daughter Cameryn Grace has turned both Goth and Jock. She will be going into middle school this year and is super excited! She likes the arm bands, skulls and anything that is different from everyone else. She is a catcher for her softball team and loves to play b-ball in the driveway with her dad and her brother. My blonde-hair, blue eyed princess is over 5 feet ...Expand for more
tall already and is on her way to either becoming a model or tackle for the Pittsburg Steelers....we shall see. My 6 year old daughter Jamie Ryan keeps me busy and turns my hair gray. She is going to be a 1st grader this year and she thinks she is big stuff now!! Also a blonde/blue eyed cutie, she keeps everyone's attention and is truly the life of any party. My hubby of almost 12 years, Ryan is doing really great at the phone company and has been there for 13 years as well. We get along really well (most of the time) hence the 3 kids we have together!! We still live in Saint Charles, MI and I really LOVE the country. Ryan talks about, thinks, eats sleeps and dreams about hunting 24-7. He's really good at it and we have several record breaking mounts in our home; One of which is mine. What is my favorite weapon you ask?? How about my Chevy Venture..but it was an 11 point and it was 2 weeks before bow season 7 years ago. Ryan called it a dandy and we have had it up on our wall ever since. Ryan Jr is a real corker...he is into everything and the whole world revolves around him and him alone (I wonder where he gets that attitude from?? LOL) He's a real cutie and really like hunting "munks" (chipmunks) with daddy. He can shoot a bb gun already and LOVES to hit a baseball with his bat. Looks like he's a chip off the old block... It's coming up on 20 years, guys. I can't believe it. I can't wait to see you all there...It's going to be AMAZING!! Until then~Jenni
