Jennifer's Story
Hi all,
My name was Jennifer Clarke during the time I attended Buchholz High school. Those yrs were 1977-1979. I moved to Cape Coral, Florida after my Junior year at Buchholz High and graduated from Cape Coral High School in 1980 and was part of their very 1st class to graduate since it was a new high school. My name at Cape Coral high was changed to Petrow since my stepfather legally adopted me that year. It is a long story to tell so I won't go into it but it was very sweet of him to give me his name since he raised me and was my dad! I missed not being able to graduate with all my friends at Buchholz High and it was difficult moving my senior yr,, but that is life right, lol. I graduated early at Cape Coral high and went to work for Publix Supermarkets and started going to Edison Communinty Collegethe following yr. I earned my Liberal Arts degree. Then went began working on my BA in Elem. Education at UCF but did not have a chance to finish it. At Edison Community College I started a club for Teacher's it was called Future Educators of America and was president of it too. I hope it continued to grow. We had a great group of future teachers join this club during the two years I was president. Also was part of the Board of Twenty in the student government there. ...Expand for more
Was one of those Who's Who in Junior Colleges but this did not seem to do much for me, lol. I was married in 1983 to Mark Gordon. We were married 27 year, and are now divorced another long story, grin. I have two children: John and Tess and I love them dearly. I find myself single at age 50 but feeling great! I love the fact many of my co-workers and new friends think I am so much younger. This I find fun, lol. One reason is because I just don't feel 50 and well I do not act my age either...this can be a curse though. I am finding men in my age group seem so old and set in their ways. They have forgotten how to have fun or how to laugh. I still love to laugh and well I am just not going to get old and look for a rocker anytime soon, big grin..... There is so much to do and well life is met to be enjoyed so why not. One thing I am not going to do is date men that are half my age tried this and well they are just too young, lol. I am trying to find some of my old classmates and see how their lives turned out and what they are up to today. If you want feel free to message me here. I forgot to mention I substituted in two school districts and enjoyed working in both. One was in Cape Coral, FL (Public schools) and the other was in Merritt Island, FL (private school).
