I moved from Salem (actually Windham, then Litchfield) in 1975 to the opposite side of the country. To see the great untamed wilderness of Washington State.’ My then husband, Bob Higgins was a Presbyterian Minister, and due to my fertility issues, we adopted 3 children, from birth, 2 years apart. It’s a HORRID experience being a Preacher’s wife and I tried absolutely everything to help me survive it. Finally we were divorced in 1986. My children are my heart but they’ve all grown up now and not only do I have a perfect daughter, but she has given me 3 perfect grandsons, they are (now in 2020): 11, 16 & 21 and such fine, loving, well adjusted, kind and loving humans! I retired a couple of years ago, living in a beautiful retirement community only about a block from their family. The oldest, ARIE, just got his own apartment 2 days ago. How wonderful a life in so many ways, I’ve had!! I LOVE to swim anywhere, but my fav is snorkeling in the Caribbean! South of Cancoon MX about an hour, and also mosquito heaven Belize.
