My new rose! I was on the waiting list for this rose for several years and got the call last summer. This is its first bloom here in WI. Came through the winter like a champ. It is a Gallica Rose, Tricolore de Flandres. B

Meanwhile back in the weed filled garden post vacation, I find Filipendula rubra or Queen of the prairie...in near full flower. I planted these 6 years ago. I got a single flower year 1 and nothing since. 5 years of weeding
Anyone else remember this place? I have such fond memories of it!
