Jennifer's Story
Life
Most of my life right now revolves around my two sons, Hoyt and Owen, who are 10 and 8 years old. They play hockey, soccer, and lacrosse, so getting them to all of their practices and games is almost a full time job! Luckily I have a very supportive husband who enjoys coaching and is very involved in our sons' lives. I am the Recreation Director for my town, which gives me the flexibility that I need for my sons, but also fulfills my lifelong interest in sports. We just finished building a new home, closer in proximity to the rink and playing fields, so we've simplified our lives a lot. I am very involved with the school and the community, both with my sons and for my job. My family enjoys a lot of boating on Lake Champlain in the summer and we squeeze some skiing in around the hockey games in the winter, so Vermont is a terrific place f...Expand for more
or us to live. We have a lot of family that lives close by and lots of our friends are happy to travel to Vermont to visit us!
I graduated from UVM in May 1991. My husband Chris and I met in September of 1991 and moved to Frisco, CO where we worked at Copper Mountain Resort. We skied 130 days a year - it was awesome! We got married in 1993, had our first son, Hoyt, in 1997 and second son, Owen in 1999. We moved to Hinesburg in 2002. My husband is a sales rep for a sports medicine company. I am the recreation director for the Town of Hinesburg. In the fall of 2006, we started building a new home in town, and moved in March 2007. It's really cool to live in Hinesburg - it's definitely changed a lot! I think that my family is very lucky to live in such a great town, with so many friends, activities, and opportunities in the area.
