Update- 09/10
OMG have I been busy. My daughter had open heart surgery this summer at tx childrens-(ranked fourth in the nation in heart surgery). She has done great, which is amazing. She is my hero! I am also looking at adopting another little girl. The new addition is a little girl who is only 3 months old. She has a few medical concerns like cp. We will see.
Update- 7/09
I finally finished my phd- in educational leadership and special education. Didnt think that would ever happen. Have adopted one of the little ones. She is my everything! I still take in children as needed. Im sorry I missed the C.R.... I had an aunt pass away and burned up time and $ to go to the funeral. I hope to be able to go to the next one!
I cant believe it has been 20 years now!!!! In the last 20 years I have gone to school and have recieved my aa, ba, and ma degrees with many years between my ba and ma. While getting my ba I remet a man who latter became my husband. we moved to texas to teach. He also graduated from chs. elations with students and various other random women) ... but truth be told although many good things came from the marriage many more came from the divorce. I am very greatful for the divorse as it helped me to grow up and become a stronger more independant woman. I have been able to travel, learn and teach in many different areas. My most recent was an invitation to speak at oxford university in england! I recently purchased my home- got in when the market was hot! I enjoy being a 'home- owner', and have learned some handy skills from this event- I can even float and tape- and do patch work- boy those skills would have come in handy after bobbys' party where his house was tore apart! Although I never had children on my own I recently became a foster mom of 3 beautiful little girls. I am glad it worked out this way as it has really cut my liability and if I decide I enjoy the single traveling lifestyle I was leading- I can always go back.... although I think I will be adopting one of these girls. I currently teach children ages 3-6 with disabilities and coordinate the parent training for my district. well that pretty much sums up my last 20 years!
