Jennifer's Story
Life
My life is a book in the making.
I was adopted from the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania right after my birth, altho' there is no legal adoption on record, anywhere. My "adoptive parents" took me to live in NY on Long Island and I started elementary school in Garden City at Locust Elementary. In 1958 we moved to Bermuda where I was for 2 years, then we moved to Kings Park on Long Island where I attended San Remo Elementary and then Ralph J. Osgood Jr-Sr High.
We moved from KP in 1964 to Fort Myers and then Miami in Florida where I lived on and off until 1990 when I met and married the love of my life. We spent two wonderful years in Germany, and then via New England, finally landed across the country in Washington State, where we had found paradise. - so we've come full circle it seems.
I belonged to band all the years I was in school and still play the flute. I also had the good fortune to perform with the Miami Philharmonic during the summer sessions while I lived there.
Now, I am a "retired" accountant, having had my own tax practice for too many years!
I have 2 grown sons, my eldest living in Florida, and my youngest in California and 1 granddaughter (born in 2000) lives in Florida, and 1 grandson born in 2008 born in Germany. Also now in Florida. Their Dad, my eldest son, is retired Army.
I travelled back to KP in 1993 and found the street named after our family is still there just off Lawrence Road - Lordly Court.
My time is currently used to pamper my husband, retired Butler from Florida. We moved to Ireland in 2016 and I have since acquired both UK and Irish Citizenship.
