Jennifer's Story
Life
My husband, Joe, and I moved last year from Fairbanks, Alaska to western North Carolina with our now 2 1/2 year old daughter, Ava, and 2 dogs, Grizz and Sal.
Joe and I met while volunteering through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1994. We got married in West Sayville, NY in August 1997. Our dogs, Grizz and Sal, were in our wedding party. Our daughter, Ava, was born 9 weeks prematurely on November 28, 2002 but is doing great now!
We moved back East to be closer to family and friends.

College
I graduated in May 1994 from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. I have a degree in Biology. I have never used my degree in my professional career which has centered on youth and non-profit management.
Workplace
I am now a Program Supervisor for the Guardian ad Litem program of the North Carolina Court System. I recruit, train and supervise volunteers who advocate in Court on behalf of abused and neglected children. I started this job in August 2004.
