Jennifer's Story
I didn't actually finish high school, as some of you may know. Troubled teenage years took their toll and I left home at the age of 14 (9th grade) and returned home just before I turned "sweet sixteen."
I studied independently at Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, Oregon, received my GED at 16 and began community college in Astoria, studying accounting. I was offered a full scholarship to Seattle Pacific University, but turned it down. Can you believe? Ended up returning to the Bay Area and attending community college here, majoring in journalism.
I still love writing, though ... poetry, short stories. I did recently publish my own volume ...Expand for more
of verse entitled, "Living Water --Inspirational Poetry" and it is available on Amazon. You'll have to search by the title or my name ... they won't let me link here. I love singing as well and have a couple YouTube channels and a FB page with some recordings.
I married my husband in 1986 and we have one married daughter and three grand kids. Out of college, I worked at AT&T for 11 years, then, after being laid off, as Office Manager at a local church for 28+ years and am currently working as a Virtual Assistant in the field of video and livestream production.
I'm on Facebook (Jennifer Outman-Welsh). Drop me a line ... I'd love to hear from you.
