Jennifer's Story

I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to be when I grew up. I joined the military and was in ROTC in the Army. Then I switched services to the Air Force for 6 years, served in Desert Storm and then retired. I started out majoring in biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt Univerisity, transferred to Penn State and graduated with a degree in Microbiology. I also met my husband Brian there who majored in mechanical nuclear engineering. We moved to New Jersey and He is a Senior Reactor Operator at the Nuclear Power Plant here - for PSEG. ddenly. He had a very complicated life after being born at only 1 1/2 lbs and very premature and had nursing care his enitire life. I went to nursing school, completed my LPN, and now my RN and and became a pediatric nurse and I now care for children like my son. My husband and I enjoy skiing and take our other two children skiing in vermont and the poconos. We like to run and go trail running with our kids, we work work out and bike although it has been a while since we have done any serious rides. We love living close enough to the beach to go often in the summer. And now that I am done school, (for the time being), I will be speding time reconnecting with my friends too! And lots of time with my family.
