I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to be when I grew up. I joined the military and was in ROTC in the Army. Then I switched services to the Air Force for 6 years, served in Desert Storm and then retired. I started out majoring in biomedical engineering at Vanderbilt Univerisity, transferred to Penn State and graduated with a degree in Microbiology. I also met my husband Brian there who majored in mechanical nuclear engineering. We moved to New Jersey and He is a Senior Reactor Operator at the Nuclear Power Plant here - for PSEG.
