Jennifer Prince:  

Life: I hold a doctorate of education (EdD) degree in counseling psychology and a license in marriage and family therapy. More than half of my adult life has been devoted to helping others. I have worked for myriad agencies across the nation, serving in various administrative, managerial, clinical, consultative, and educational capacities with individuals of all ages with unique needs. One of my most notable achievements was serving with the Washington, D.C. Department of Mental (Behavioral) Health; Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department; and Washington D.C. Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Together, we trained the Washington, D.C. police officers to effectively respond to citizens in mental health crises. This training program was groundbreaking for the District, and is based on the Memphis Model of Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)--a highly respected, impactful, and valued program across the nation. We also trained the police recruits on basic mental health. This was a tremendous opportunity that I hold close to my heart. Upon high school graduation, I had an exceptionally exciting naval career.
