Life Well, I am not the type of person to stay in one place for long. After high school I spent the next four years living in Illinois attending Northwestern University. That was cool, but I think I'm going to encourage any future kids I have to take a year or two off between high school and college and live a little. Tour the world. After college I spent a year subbing at Mayfair (exciting, exciting) and interning in Hollywood. Then I got a job working for a movie producer (I was a pretty pathetic assistant) This was when the internet was skyrocketing, so I joined an internet/hollywood based company called rockcity.com. We did original shows on the internet and thought we were going to be rich, rich rich. Ha, Ha, Ha. That was a lot of fun... while it lasted. Of course, we crashed and burned in 2001. At the same time I realized I wanted to work in politics because I have a bit of a masochistic streak. Since there were no major jobs opening up in an off-election year, I decided to live abroad for a year just because I could. I moved to Korea in the summer of 2001 and was there for a year, teaching SAT Prep and ESL.
