Life
After highschool my parents and I moved to Pensacola, Fl. I went to college at the University of West Florida and studied Social Work and Business. I met and later married Don Drummond. Fought cancer and won. We moved to South Beach Miami, New York City, New Orleans and finally back to Pensacola.
While in Miami, Don was modeling and I worked as an Event Planner When we went to New York, I continued with Event Planning. I worked on Charitable Galas, Movie Premieres, Private and Corporate Events. It was fun; I was able to meet a lot of famous people. Don left modeling pretty quickly and worked in importing. The last year I was in New York I was the Director/Fundraiser for a great educational ministry that helps children who have fallen below grade level.
Don and I got married on Oct. 24, 1998. Six weeks after we were married, my brother Stephen died in an auto accident in Pensacola. He had given my mother a kidney a few years before - so a physical part of him was still alive. We then left New York to be closer to family and settled in New ...Expand for more
Orleans. I became a Youth Minister and have been working in Youth Ministry ever since. I love it. We became the parents of Stephen Shepherd Drummond on March 27, 2002. I was told I could not have babies.
On July 20, 2002, my mother died of a myriad of complications from medications she was taking for her kidney transplant. On November 21, 2002, my father died of brain cancer. Their deaths were four months and one day apart. I miss them. They were great parents.
In June 2006, Don bought a Contracting/Restoration business. The business was originally started by my brother Stephen in 1996.
This little bio is filled with excitement and sadness. I hope it held your interest and was not too long. Thanks for reading it. Life is Awesome. Business is Great. Everyone is Happy!
P.S. We left New York a year before 9-11 and we left New Orleans a year before Hurricane Katrina.
P.S.S. Changes since 2007: Now working in part-time in Fitness Equipment Sales, with women addicted to drugs and alchohol one day a week and marketing for my husband's business.
