Jennifer's Story
Hello St. Mary Alumni, Life has taught me many lessons. I have long since stopped hating myself for being Lesbian. I stopped my self loathing at age nineteen,shortly after my mother's suicide. I was married to a woman, I am so proud to have had the ceremony in Massachusetts, my home state. The first to give me my long overdue human rights.
I was widowed on August 3, 2010 after my wife Jan struggled with metastatic Breast cancer.I'm an RN and have seen many a person struggle with cancer.Yet nothing can prepare a person to watch cancer eat their soul's mate from the inside out. esteemed pleasure and priviege.Thanks to the love and support from my family and friend's I'm slowly getting back into the swing of life.Albeit it seems bittersweet at times,Thank God for my dogs,they have their human trained well,I wouldn't want it any other way.I'm still a bit of an eccentric soul,enjoying the prediliction for appreciating the avant-garde.
Sending many a nostalgic shout out to all my classmates.From St.Patrick's and St.Mary's you've remained deep within my heart and soul.Our shared parochial school upbringing helped mold me into a decent human who continues striving toward the greater good.
