Life
Well, what to say about my life? It certainly has had it's twists and turns! I guess I'll begin at the end of college....I graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I got a job at Iowa Elementary in Nampa right away teaching 5th grade. Unfortunately, I was also going through a divorce at the time. God brought me through it, though, and has shown me how He has worked through that period of my life. About a year after I was divorced, I met my current husband, Loren through an internet dating site like Match.com. We knew we were soul mates just through the fact that we laughed all the time together and were best friends from the beginning. He is still my bestest friend ever (as we like to say)! We got married on December 21st, 2002 in my house I bought after my divorce. We are coming up on our 4th anniversary. No children yet, but we are working on it (believe me!)!
After teaching 5th grade my first year, I moved on to teach 6th grade at the same school, and then was transferred to teach 6th grade at the middle school when our district decided to put 6th graders there. ional Leadership, or Administration. Basically, I would like to be a school administrator someday. I know, I know...it's crazy! Anyway, I completed that program in May of 2005 and I currently hold an administrative certification in Idaho and Washington. I am have served as the 6th grade team leader for 3 years, and will be the 6th grade dean of students this year as well. I also mentor beginning teachers, and this will be my 3rd year doing that. In addition to that, I am a board member of the Idaho Middle Level Association, and am the representative for about 5 different area cities here in the Boise area. We recently moved from Nampa to Boise, and we are loving our new house!
My husband will begin classes at BSU (Boise State University) next week towards completing his degree in Computer Information Systems. He currently works for a computer chip manufacturer called Micron. He's been there for the past 7 years. Both of our families live in the area, with his about 3 hours to the North in a TINY town called Cuprum, and mine about 4 1/2 hours West in Richland, WA where they have lived for about a year (originally from Antioch, but they moved away about 6 years ago).
All in all, I would say I have a great life here in Idaho with a great husband, job, and friends!
