Jennifer's Story
Life
College
After high school I attended University of Oregon, graduating with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Graphic Design. I've taken some classes toward my Master's Degree, but life got in the way! I also attended a semester at University of Salzburg in Austria, studying German.
My Spouse
I met my husband toward the end of my years (the 6th!) at University of Oregon. Kraig was a casual friend of my roommate and best friend. One night he took us both out to dinner. Afterward, I had a lecture to attend, and when I got home three hours later he was still there. It turned out he was waiting for me! We went out for a five hour walk, and the rest is history. We were married two years later, in May 1974. We have a relationship others only HOPE for! :) Our life has been full and rich.
My Kids
Our oldest is Emilie, age 39. She has her Master's in Special Ed, but right now is working from home...Expand for more
for a friend. She and her husband Derek are parents to our 5 year old granddaughter, Matilda, who is the joy of our lives! Our youngest is Matthew, age 35. He is our techno-wizard. He's an IT specialist for Vancouver Clinic, taking repair calls for their computers and doing special tech projects for them. Our middle son, Nathan, was born with a rare genetic disease of copper metabolism (Menkes Disease). He was severely disabled all his life and sadly died in 1995 at the age of 14 (a miracle, as most children die before the age of 2). He was the joy of our lives and we miss him very much. We are extremely proud of all three of our children.
Today
Retirement is a busy time! We spend a lot of time with our granddaughter, as well as helping manage properties for my mother, who is 96 now. We're active in our church, and busy with family and friends. Looking forward to many more school reunions!
