JenniferN's Story
After high school, I went to TN Tech University, where I received a BS in Civil Engineering in '96. I met my husband at TN Tech. He was a TA in my surveying class. (I made an A!)
During college, I co-op¿ed with TVA in the Chattanooga area, where I still live and work now (15+ yrs). At work, right now, I am primarily working on energy-efficiency projects and some water quality projects, too. I am blessed to be able to work part-time which allows me to volunteer at the kids' school.
I have two children, 11 and 7. The oldest is getting ready for middle school which is pretty scary. Remember those days?
I spend a lot of time at the baseball field, football field, soccer field, and the basketball court. I never thought I would enjoy watching sports, but find myself engrossed (as long as MY kids are playing). My oldest is starting select baseball this spring which is probably crazy-time consum...Expand for more
ing. There are still oh-so-many aspects of each sport that baffle me.
I love singing in choir at church. I hardly ever play piano anymore, but the kids are taking lessons. Music (chorus, ensemble) is the one thing that I really miss and treasure about Gibbs (along with some great friendships). We had it made with Mr. Reeves, didn't we? I teach a 3 and 4 year old choir at church. They're unpredictable and quite entertaining.
I love listening to books on tape and CD (Janet Evanovich, Diane Mott Davidson, and Jennifer Weiner currently) as I drive all around the TN Valley. I have an interest in personal finance and investing, but enjoy spending money a little more! Summer isn¿t summer without a trip to the beach. (Last summer¿s vacation was World Series in Birmingham, AL. Uggh.) Life is so busy, but I try to visit with my parents in K-ville about monthly. Gibbs/Corryton will always be home!
