Jennifer's Story
Life
I graduated from the University of Missouri in Kansas City with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. I married a guy I started dating my senior year in high school, his name was J.R. and he graduated from Grandview Sr High School. We were married in 1991 and have two children, a son named Jared who was born in August 1997 and a daughter named Ally who was born in April 1999. We live in Lee's Summit, MO. My husband passed away in August of 2004 from brain cancer. He fought a long hard battle. He had a dream of helping local brain cancer patients, their families and caregivers as so many people helped us. Since his death, I am helping to raise money for a foundation called Be Head Strong (beheadstrong.org). We are trying to realize his dream and raise awareness of brain cancer, help local families and raise money for research.
I keep pretty busy working full time, raising my two really cool kids and working for this foundation.
