Jennifer's Story
Life
After high school I tried to work and go to Triton. Not terribly interested in school, but the program I was studying, I applied to Madigans and began my career as a selling associate in the Jr. Dept. Struggling to "Deal" with the spoiled girls that got to spend unlimited amounts of cash on stuff they didn't need, I reverted out of sight to dressing hangers with layers and accesories that tempted buyers into buying the whole hanger. That caught the attention of the manager who then gave me a superb reference to begin my career as Fashion Presentation associate at the Boston Store in Milwaukee, WI. By that time I had met my now husband Kevin who was attending Concordia University Mequon with my brother Ted. A couple years later we married and moved to St. Louis for Kevin to study at the Seminary. I continued my work as a fashion presentations associate for JCPenney for the next four years. Our first Pastoral call in 1993 was to Rochester, MN. We have two children (Amanda and Andrew)and one on the way at this time, and I am a stay at home mom. third child there (Aaron). I am still basically a stay at home mom with a Pampered Chef Business. By 1999 it's time to move again to St. Louis. I am still a stay at home mom and now a Director with Pampered Chef and Women's Ministry Director. In 2000 when Aaron was in Kindergarten I ventured out into the workforce as an Information Representative for LCEF. In 2004 we moved to our current home in Fort Wayne, IN. I am now a Personal Chef and Caterer. My daughter has graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School and attends Ivy Tech Community College. My son Andrew is a Freshman at Concordia High School and Aaron is a sixth grader at Concordia Elementary. Kevin is one class and a dissertation away from being a Doctor, Reverend Doctor that is with emphasis on Missions, as that is his primary passion, to "Engage People with Jesus". He will have degrees from both Missouri Synod Seminaries. Kinda funny for those who know about the sems. So, that's it in a nutshell. I truly loved my Walther High School experience and really do miss it, somedays, glad my parents sent me there. I'm also glad it was across the street!
