College
I recently graduated (2005) from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in Communication. It was an amazing experience, where I met some very interesting people. I did my fair share of work, but quite honestly, spent a good amount of time in the fraternities and/or bars near campus.
As far as meeting the best friends a girl could have, or finding my first love, I did that at my first school. I spent my first two years at Franklin Pierce College (also in New Hampshire). It was a small (more people went to BHS), private school where I played soccer and studied Mass Communications. I met my best friends, and the man everyone insists I will marry someday, at that school.
It is hard to keep in touch with people since I moved back to California, but thank God for instant messanger. Without it, I doubt I would ever talk to half of my friends.
Workplace
I am currently working at Plus 8 Digital in Burbank, California. Our company rents out HD equipment (cameras, monitors, decks, etc.) to individuals, production companies, and to the studios. I work with amazing people, who are teaching me about all the different aspects of the company. So, I spend appr...Expand for more
oximately half of my day as a glorified receptionist, and the other half helping out in the shop or upstairs in accounting.
It is a rather interesting job because I get to meet all sorts of people in the business. Our company provided all of the HD equipment for "Star Wars: Episode Three" and "Collateral". We also do work with televsion shows, such as "Reba" and a few new shows that I am not allowed to discuss quite yet. I am hoping to either move up in this company or to find a new job at one of the studios.
Military
The summer after my sophomore year in college I attended boot camp in South Carolina. I know this might sound weird, but it was so much fun. I met some cool people, had the best Drill Sargeants, and got into amazing shape. I pretty much got my ass kicked, but it was so much fun, that I did not really mind.
I then spent about five months in San Antonio, Texas at MOS training. Ironically enough, I was training to be a Mental Health Specialist (91X). Unfortunately, some not-so-fun things occurred and I was discharged. It was not dishonorable or anything, just something I do not like to talk about. After that, I came back to California for a while.
