Jennifer's Story

After i graduated high school, i attended Longview community college with the intention of becoming a Veterinarian. That did not work out so i changed my career plans to criminal law. I ended up taking a break from college because i just couldn't figure out what i wanted to do. I worked at different jobs in Missouri and Kansas through the years and ended up moving to Kansas for good. In 1995, I met John Klein. He was taking pilot lessons at an airport in Gardner, KS. We dated for 4 years before we got married in 1999. We built our first house together in 2000. It was an experience i will never forget! We live in Osawatomie, KS which is 30 miles south of Olathe, KS. John and I are self-employed. We own USA Mechanical, Inc. We have 5 employees. Our business is Heating and Air Conditioning. In 2004, we had a baby girl who we named Mary Rose. She is now 4 and attends pre-school. I am also a step-mother to a 15 year old girl. Her name is Amber. I haven't attended any of the class reunions because of the expense but maybe I will be at the next one. I still talk to Kelly Hickerson (NEAL). She lives with her husband Al and their 2 sons in Concord, CA. Becky Groenwald(WEIGHT) is married and lives in Iowa. I have been trying to locate Susan M. Clark. Last i heard she was married and living in Indepe...Expand for more
ndence, Mo. Does anyone stay in touch with her and if so, could you please ask her to e-mail me? That's about it. Most days I hang out with Mary and we go shopping or play outside. Getting caught with chewing tobacco in my coat pocket and my dad forcing me to eat the entire pouch. He said that should cure me of the foul stuff. He was right! I was so sick for a week! I never touched the stuff again! Gross! I always wanted to be a Veterinarian when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Susan Clark, because I've known her since 2nd grade and i'd like to catch up. If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to St. Jude's Children Research , then spend the rest on debts, family and vacations. In 10 years, I hope to be Alive. I'm going to get there by Quitting smoking. My first job was at John Knox Village, where I got paid $5.00 to waitress at Fireside Inn. I really loved that job.. What I remember most about it is the co-workers. They were a blast! I really loved the seniors, too. I felt sorry for some of them and I always thought that when i got to be their age and had to leave my home to live in a nursing home i would much rather live at a place like John Knox Village..
