Jennifer's Story
I've gotten several emails lately through this website, so I thought I better update my profile. I still live just outside Seattle with my husband, Larry, and our two dachshunds, Willis and Arnold. We've been in the Northwest 10 years now, and I'm not sure if we'll ever move back home. We really love it here, the scenery and lifestyle really suit us, but we do miss our friends and family terribly. We try to make it back to Texas 2-3 times per year, and our New Year's resolution is always the same--make it home more often.
I work as an energy markets consultant, forecasting electricity prices for use in power plant financings, sitings, utility rate studies, and for other purposes. I like my work as an economist, that is what my degree is in, though I'd like to go back to school and get my masters degree. I minored in French, and that has always been a passion of mine, so I'm contemplating picking that up again.

lude throwing parties at our house. We especially like our annual Easter egg-dying party. It is a chance for everyone to relax and express their artistic sides in a fun way.
A friend and I took up cake decorating last year and we're really enjoying it. Up until now, it has just been a hobby, but my younger sister is getting married in April and she asked me to do her wedding cake. Yikes! This is my first "official" cake, so I'm practicing like crazy.
I have kept in touch with a few friends from High School, but wish I had kept up with more. We all had such a great time at the 10-year reunion, I'm really looking forward to the 20th. Of course, Dina and I still talk every day. We've been best friends since the first grade and I honestly don't know what I'd do without her. I think we were just made for each other and we're still enjoying going through life together.
I hope you're all doing well and I look forward to seeing you at the next class reunion. In the meantime, let me know how you're doing. I'm always interested!!
