Jennifer's Story
Life
Since graduation, I've had my ups and downs just like everyone does. I had a son in 1996. His real father was and is not in his life. I meet my first husband soon after my son was born. We got married in 1999. He was alot older than me. Of course it didn't work out. We divorced in 2002. At this time I was working at the prison as a Correction Officer. I met my second hubby there. We married in 2005. I was in a severe car accident in 9/05. My c-2 (neck) was fractured. That's why I missed the 10 year reunion. So unfortunately, I am unable to return to my job as a C.O. because of my injuries. In May 2006, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. d child. In July 2006, I had surgery to remove the cancer and my thyroid. In Oct. 2006, my daughter was born and in Nov/Dec 06, I had radiation treatment for the cancer. I am now cancer free and working part-time as a real estate agent for C21 Turner/Dean in Bridgeton. For the last two years, life has been a struggle, but my family and close friends have gotten me thru it all. I have a wonderful, loving husband who has been supportive and caring. Having a new baby is great too. My oldest is a big help. He loves being a big brother. I am thankful to be here today and I cherish my family for all their support and love they have given me throughout my life. You can check me out on myspace.com.
