Jennilee's Story
Life
UPDATED 12/07.....Previously married/divorced and now re-married after 20 years. Returned to SE Ohio after 30 plus yrs. in NW Ohio. We have five adult children (3 are mine) and now 10 grandchildren (7 are mine)(tragically, our 2 yr. old grandson was murdered in Oct. 07.) We adopted one of our grandsons - he is almost 14 - so that makes 9 g'kids officially with the loss of Trenton and the adoption. I worked for a state government agency for 18 yrs. years as a Human Resources Administrator after leaving the banking industry; worked for the Sheriff for a couple of years then returned to another State Agency to work in HR again until I retired in Jan., 2007 (YEAH!). My husband, Dave, was a systems analyst for Columbus Public Schools until he retired at the end of Feb., '07. He commuted from Pomeroy to Columbus to work because we love the peace we find in Meigs County vs that of the city craziness we both lived and worked in for years. Delaware, Oh after we became 'parents' again. We live on a small farm and have horses and assorted other critters!
We enjoy the outdoors (esp. the beach and mountains), travel, spending time with our kids and grandkids, friends, and other family, and church activities. Always enjoy re-connecting with someone from the past. We are busy, generally healthy, and blessed! We own a candle business--it's on hold due to life mandates. I'm a volunteer Parent Advocate/Partner and also a volunteer member of Disability Rights Ohio PAIMI Council and of the Ohio Dept. of Mental Health & Addiction Services Planning Council. Always busy!
Workplace
Worked almost every day since high school. Took time off to have my first two children and three months with my third.
RETIRED 1/07!!!! YES!!!! Worked as an HR Administrator for the state for many years--previously in banking and other HR/business functions. Worked in the marine industry and Corvette aftermarket - fun stuff. Worked for Meigs Co. Sheriff for a couple of years and then returned to state human resources (ODMH) until retirement.
