Jenny's Story

4/15/09 Hello and thanks for looking Jenny up. This is not Jenny writing this. This is her older sister Laura. I decided to do this for Jenny so everyone would know that, unfortunately, Jenny died on October 31, 2006 after a 4-year battle with colon cancer. She had a surgery to remove a tumor off of her femoral artery which we knew was risky to prolong her life. Unfortunately, that ended her life. She was laid to rest at Rest Haven off of Jefferson down by Parkview Baptist. Her husband, Zach Lea, preceded her in death less than 6 months later. He is buried right next to her. He lost his life on April 20, 2007 in a car accident. They both died at 3 months short of 28. We made a tribute to Jenny and Zach on My Space. You can view it and request to be their friend...Expand for more
. We monitor the site for requests or if anyone wants to add pictures to it you can email them. We wished we could have notified more people of funeral arrangements, but we just didn't expect surgery to go the way it did and losing her immediately. Jenny graduated from LSU in '02 with a degree in accounting. In June of '02 she got married to Zach Lea. Immediately after they moved to Portland, Oregon where her and Zach resided until her death. We had her body flown back home to have her buried where friends and family would be able to visit her. One thing Jenny taught me was to not complain of ever getting older, for she was only granted 27 years on this earth and left way too soon. We either die or get older. So be grateful you're alive.
