Jenny C's Story
Spent elementary and middle school in Benton, KY. So many memories of the people I grew up with and last schools I had strong connection to. Would have graduated at Marshall County High School-KY with the folks I grew up with but moved before freshman year. Spent the first half of freshman year at Highlands High School-CA.. Then Scotland High School-NC to the end of sophmore year. Briefly went to Atmore High School-AL and Alamogordo High School-NM under married name of Thomas since husband was Active Duty Air Force then. Ended up getting GED in 1988 and went to college at New Mexico State University-Alamogordo. Graduated with Associate Degree in Science-Nursing.
Today I am still happily married after 36 years to Cecil Thomas from Scotland High School-NC class of 1985. He is retired from the Air Force and still working on base as a contract...Expand for more
or. In the Air Force, we lived in New Mexico, North Carolina, Okinawa Japan, and the Panhandle of Florida.
When his time of retirement came, we just stayed in the Panhandle. I worked as an RN in many specialties until 2016 when I had to medically retire. We raised 3 amazing kids. We survived the Category 5 Hurricane Michael here in 2018 in the Panhandle of Florida. We currently have one 13 yr old Pomchi dog Poco and one 8 month old kitten named Moira who just showed up out of the blue in our driveway in June. We lost Poco's 13 yr old sister Zai a few weeks ago and our 12.5 year old Labrador Evie this past summer. We just had a wonderful visit with all our grown children together at Christmas. So along with other things in 2021, the roller coaster life has been wild but so very worth it. Hope all is well with you and have a Happy New Year!
