Jenny's Story
After high school, I worked in preschools and group homes for approximately 3 years. From 1984-1988, I attended EMU and earned my undergraduate degree in Special Education of the Blind. In my senior year, I took a job at ERIM conducting research on voice synthesizers and writing software for the blind. 91, I returned to EMU and established the CATE Lab (website is under the COE, Labs and then CATE), which I still direct.
My work focuses on teaching adaptive software and hardware to students of all disabilities.
From 1996-1998 I earned my MLS in Interdisciplinary Technology and from 2004 ¿ present I am completing my dissertation for a PhD in Technology.
I live in Ann Arbor with my 2 very spoiled dogs
