Jeremiah's Story
Since I left Stratford I went to college and got into TV. I spent from '93 to '99 working in the Charleston Televison News and Sports scene. I was a news and sports photojournalist (a fancy way for what most people call a cameraman) at Channel 4 (WCIV) and the Channel 2 (WCBD). At Channel 2 they allowed me to work myself into a position of reporting on High School sports a few times a week.
By 2000 I moved to Greenville, SC to work at the FOX TV affiliate up there as the main beat reporter for the University of South Carolina while also shooting and reporting on other sports from NASCAR to the NFL.
In 2003 I took a job with Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia - a regional cable outlet in Philly that specializes in ALL Philadelphia sports. I am the main NFL shooter for these guys and have covered everything from two Super Bowls to ...Expand for more
the Kentucky Derby - Prize Fights in Vegas to the Final Four. In 2004 I won my first Emmy award and I have since been nominated four other times. My work has been featured across the country many times and I always find it odd yet fun to find myself in the backround of pictures in the local papers, USA Today and Sports Illustrated. Watch an Eagles game on TV and most times you'll see me shooting on the field.
I was married in 2009 to my wife Marlene, a native of New Jersey. We currently reside in South Philadelphia and LOVE the city! So much history, great food, nightlife and such a vibrant lifestyle makes this a perfect place for me.
I try to get back to Charleston every year. Sometimes I am successful, other times not so much. I do miss the ways of The Lowcountry and fondly remember my times both in high school and after!
