Jeremy's Story
Life
Life, yet another four letter word.
I would have to say I am definitely a drifter. I have been a rambler for as long as I remember. I originally moved to Dillon in the summer of 95. I spent my eight and ninth grade years as a complete outcast. At the time it suited me fine. After a couple of years, I warmed to the locale, or hoped I did, anyways. The summer of my Junior year, I joined the Army Reserves. That opened up a whole new world for me. Since graduation, I have moved almost constantly. For a while I was living in Iowa, where my parents opened a bar. After that I moved back to Montana for a time and then moved back to the Mojave Desert in California. I think I moved from there back to Iowa, and within a couple of months found myself back in Dillon. After that it was back to California for another short stint. Anywho, I could probably go on
for hours about how many times i moved back and forth. I am currently living in Hesperia, CA. I would say the most important thing in my life right now is having my brother Doug home safe from Iraq, and getting to see him marry and have a child. Since high school, I have been working off and on as a framing carpenter. I recently had a hand in framing the new Snowcrest apartments in Dillon. ently applied to Western and will hopefully be enrolled in either the biology or environmental sciences programs. I still dabble in music as often as i can. I still sing from time to time with friends bands, but more often play my guitar, although not often enough. Overall I am much the same person I have always been and always will be.
School
What can I say... It sucked. Twas a neccessary evil and without it, I wouldn't have met all the interesting individuals that attended. It took quite a while for BCHS to grow on me as i was treated as an outcast for the first couple of years. I was young, awkward, and just growing into myself. Look at me now, Biatch! Guess what though... My metal band played the school and yours probably didn't. I know, whoopty doo! Since High School I haven't attended any schools, unless you count AIT.
College
I will hopefully be attending school in the fall at Western. I hope to enroll in either their biology or environmental science programs.
Military
I spent 4 years as a soldier in the US Army Reserves. I was primarily a Carpentry and Masonry specialist. When I transferred units, I moved to a Diesel supply unit in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was overall a great experience for me, toughened me up, mentally and physically. I wouldn't recomend it for the faint of heart. Only the strong survive.
