Jeremy's Story

Life I'm working on a Ph.D. in physics, and just now really starting to get into research. When I get done I'm going to go work in a lab in Germany for a year and then decide what to do with my life. School I was thinking about how incredibly lame the prompt questions are for this category, and then I decided to just answer them completely frankly, so here goes What teacher inspired me? Um, I had a science teacher in Houston who would talk about his gynecologist friend looking at porn. I guess that was inspirational. The teachers I remember best were the ones who were goofy or antagonistic. Goff, the art teacher from Deming was a decent nemesis. Then...Expand for more
there was a chick with a pointy nose who taught debate, but then left to be a nun or something. She and I came to an uneasy truce by the end of my time in her class. I was never terribly happy in high school, but I think I tried to make most of my time somewhat funny. Only you, dear skulker, can tell me if I was successful. Workplace I just did whatever until I had cash to go back to school and get a grad degree in physics. This involved working at a call center, then working as a tech writer, then for the university as a tutor and lab instructor, and working at my dad's gallery on the side, and now I'm here at UT being a TA/RA and tutoring on the side.
