I grew up in denver. I was pretty smart, but I never applied myself in school. my mom & my stepdad were both hippies, they ended up getting into the whole tough-love thing & sent me to live with my dad in jamaica plains, ma. in the summer of '85. that's how I ended up at J.P. as a junior in fall '85. some of my friends there thought it would be funny to have me run for jr. class president, fully knowing that I didn't stand a chance of winning, at the last minute, I found out that nobody was running for jr. class vice pres. and changed my application to run for that instead, that's how I won the election...by running unopposed. things weren't going too well between me & my dad & I ended up leaving boston in jan. '86 & went to my grandparents in the dalles oregon to finish my jr. year. So, if any of you ever wondered what happened to me , that was it. I finished my jr. year at the dalles h.s. in the dalles oregon, I was 18 by then, the principal told me that between my low GPA and transfering between 3 schools in three different states that I wouldn't finish school before I was 20. So I ended up going back to denver, as a dropout. my mom told me that I had 2 wks to find work... & 6 more to move out. with a week left until I'd be homeless...I joined the army & spent 3 yrs with the 101st Airborne division as an Infantry rifleman, I...Expand for more
