Jerri's Story
I've started a new job in Spokane in the Civil Service Office. I started work with the City at the Police Department in the Records Division in October 2006. My new job is very different. I'm the test administrator for the Civil Service exams. A lot of my job is paperwork and correspondence, but I get to meet people in all areas of the City and it's wonderful to be helping the people who want to work for the City as well as the internal departments who need excellent staff!
I love the City of Spokane. I moved here in 2002 after working 7 years at Kenworth Truck Company in Kirkland, WA. In Spokane, I can afford to own a home, I get to experience all four seasons each year, and I love our natural areas and community events.

h I had a couple of long-term relationships, I have never been married or had children. I would be thrilled for such gifts to arrive in my life; however, my life is full of wonderful family and friends and I feel very lucky!
When I think back to Highline, I remember so many people who inspired me and brightened my days. I loved being a part of so many groups of diverse talents. Plus we just had a lot of fun! I loved being a student... loved my five years at UW... I wouldn't mind going back to learn something new or advance my career at some point.
For the near future, I am getting my garage finished. Looking forward to running Bloomsday next year. Hoping we don't have TOO much snow for multiple months like we did last year, though I do love the snow!
