Jerry's Story

Life Where to begin? Well, went to UT-Knoxville where I majored in History. Went into teaching for about three [3] years, but I wasn't very good at it, didn't like it, and it didn't pay a whole lot. So I became a programmer and systems analyst and have been doing that for almost twenty-eight [28] years. Even that has its ups and downs. Which is to say, at the moment I am retired. Retired until I run out of cash reserves or find an interesting job. If any of you know of a small or medium sized company in or near Nashville that needs a manager (or senior programmer /ana...Expand for more
lyst) for an IBM AS/400 (iSeries) or a System/36, you know how to get in touch with me. Since UT I have lived in Richland, WA, Baltimore, MD, Las Cruces, NM (my personal favorite), Phoenix, AZ, Charlotte, NC, and, finally, back to Nashville. My grandfather once told me that it was harder to hit a moving target. Must have taken him a little literally! I'm still single and still 6'3". The hair's turned a little (!) gray and the ol' knees lock up from time-to-time, but still in reasonably good health (according to my doctor, but he went to UT, too, so how good can he be?).
