Jerry's Story
Life
I've done a lot and seen a lot in my life, but I'm looking forward to expanding my horizons even more. Perhaps I'll teach English in China? Perhaps I'll find that dream job in Europe? You never know.
School
I graduated in Dec. 2002 from Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University, San Marcos with a degree in Geography (minor: Russian). Anyway, high school sucked. I remember being so awkward and I mostly just wanted to blend into the background. I mostly liked choir. ROTC was okay - some cool people - some extreme right-wing kooks. I liked most of the fellow rotc students, though it turned out that the senior instructor (Col. Wright)was not the nicest person (email me and I'll tell ya the whole story). Anyway, I'd like to hear from anyone, anytime, who'd like to reminisce. PEACE OUT
College
I hated college but was exceedingly glad to graduate, which I did in 12/02 with a degree in Geography (minor: Russian) from Southwest Texas State University, now known simply as Texas State University San Ma...Expand for more

Workplace
I'm currently working in the visa/passport courier business in Houston. It's kind of fun and I've met a few minor celebrities.
Military
As a Russian linguist, I spent about 3 years in Monterey, California (LOVED IT!!!), 4 months in San Angelo, Texas (well, at least it was close to home so I could get home cookin anytime I wanted), 2 years in Okinawa, Japan (I think I loved it...it's all a drunken purple haze), 1.5 years in Misawa, Japan (that's in the frozen north...LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT!), and the final 4 months in Northern Virginia (loved the area, hated the assignment). It was there that I came out of the closet to my commander (everyone else knew, why not him?) and was a PFC (Private F***ing Civilian) a few weeks later.
I'm now living in Houston. I work in an office for a company that processes visa and passport requests so that rich folks can trot about the planet at will. Not that I'm complaining of course. I'ts a pretty cool job I guess.
