Military
Cindy and I spent my military time near Washington D.C. and the best thing about it was that we had no family interfering in our lives. While we were there there were a few interesting events.The Civil rights march and the tent city on the grounds of most of the national monuments. the funeral train from New York to Washington passed just yards from our house. The Baltimore Orioles were World Series Champs that year. I was on duty in the communications center at the National Security Agency the night the Pueblo was captured by the North Koreans--that was intense. Fortunately for me and my small family(at that time) I never had to go overseas. I got out of the service in June of 68 and never looked back.
