Jerry's Story
Life
After High school, I graduated from SUNY at Fredonia with a degree in Radio, TV and Tonemiester (Sound Engineering).
Out of school, I went to Dover, DE to start my career in radio at WDOV. In the 5 years I was there, I was on the air in morning and afternoon drive shifts as well as the Program Director. I also did a lot of part time work in Wilmington, DE at WSTW and WDEL.
It was while I was in Dover that I met my wife, Sharon, who worked for the local newspaper, The Delaware State News. She was a staff writer and news aid. Two of our children, Megan and Chris were born there as well.
I moved to Cape May, NJ as Operations Manager of WBNJ Radio. I had always wanted to be part of a station startup, ordering everything from paperclips to transmitters, hiring staff, et...Expand for more
c. It's a lot of work and very rewarding.
At both stations, I did a lot of computer work, including the installation of the traffic system, which radio stations use to run the place. In 1986 I made the jump to the software industry in Albuquerque, NM when I went to work for Sunspot a software company servicing the broadcast industry. I was the VP of Customer Services. This is where my third child, Ben was born.
Through mergers and acquisitions I found myself living in, Charlotte NC, Memphis TN and Denver CO. I wrote a PC based traffic system on the side and started a part-time business which is still in operation today.
In My fulltime work, I have recently joined Glenmede Trust Company in Philadelphia as an officer managing the customer relations (CRM) system. Still awake?
