Jerry's Story
Well, where do I start? Kind of a late comer to this, but thought I would share a little info on my journey through life. After High School, life did not change much for three years, continued playing and networking the entire Bay Area. I got a little concerned with friends going down the wrong trail and realized the path of fun was not taking me any where. I decided to utilize college as a means of extraction from certain influences (chemicals - if you know what I mean). I ended up going to DVC for three years (took me a little time to acclimate) and became GE certified w/ an emphasis in Chemistry. I knew nothing about Chemistry, except fellow friends constantly complaining how hard it was. Therefore, I applied for Cal-Poly-SLO to take my exit from the Tri-Valley influence to the next level. I was accepted into Cal-Poly-SLO and ended up graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry w/ an emphasis in Environmental Chemistry. Go figure!!!!
After living 5 years (post College) in the Central Coast of California (Shell Beach area) an...Expand for more
d working as a Food Chemist, I ended up back in the Bay Area and did a little job hopping.
Today - I've been an employee of Clorox for the last 10 years (8th position in the Co.). I was brought into Clorox as a Mfging Chemist and worked my way through various roles; Quality, Pkging Engineering, Operations/Business Planning, Project Management, and now a QA Project Manager working with Design for Manufacturing principles. My various positions within Clorox allows me to travel the US. I've seen the MW, NE, SW, and SE. Cali still rocks!!!!!!!!!
I'm currently married to one of my college sweethearts :-) and we are approaching our 13th wedding anniversary. Beatriz is my love/lust partner and friend for life. I have a little Jerry (1 - boy) working his way through life. Dylan is now 7 and has a mix Brazilian looks (wife¿s side) and my thirst for adventure.
Watch out class of 2018!!!!!!!
Hope all is well with everyone. There is hope for our little one's that will play hard during High School.
No regrets!!!!!!!!!
Stay good!!!
