Life
I came to Sitka, Alaska in 1968 in the Coast Guard. I married a local girl and after 2 years back in Ft Lauderdale we moved back to Sitka when I was discharged in 1972. I have been working as the head groundsman for the Sitka Pioneer Home ever since. As of 8/1/02 I retired after 30 years with the State of Alaska. worked 30 for the State of Alaska at the Sitka Pioneer Home as Grounds Supervisor. I maintained several acres of lawns and flower gardens. It was a wonderful job but I was happy to retire and kick back. Now I walk everyday, and take pictures which can be seen at :

Military
I spent 2 years on Coast Guard Cutter Clover in Sitka, Alaska and 2 years at CG Station Ft. Lauderdale where I ran 30 and 40 ft. search and rescue boats.
