Jerry's Story
Jerry lives in Edmond, Oklahoma. My schools included Jackson Junior High School and Capitol Hill High School. I later attended The University of Oklahoma for bachelors and masters degrees; and the University of Kansas School of Law for a law degree. I retired from service with the U.S. Court of Appeals in 2012. I had a career in law librarianship, legal and legislative research, and law book publishing. I now work mostly at retirement. he History Research Library at the Oklahoma History Museum. I have recently volunteered to help as a Medicare/Medicaid program consultant with the Oklahoma Insurance Department. Music was my main passion at CHHS but I mostly gave it up after college. My one regret from my CHHS days is that I turned down Ozzie Ossenkop's encouragement to sing with the CHHS choirs. But then my CHHS focus was instrumental music. I came to an enjoyment of vocal music, especially the opera, only later in life.
