Jerry's Story
I came to LHS at the end of my sophomore year in 1967 after having moved with my family from San Antonio, TX. After graduation, I enrolled at SPJC where I earned an AA degree in Radio/TV Broadcast. In the fall of 1971, I moved to Pensacola, Florida where I completed my BA degree in Communication Arts at the University of West Florida.

ere I began a 24-year career in advertising with Gayfers Department Stores, serving in various management positions in south Alabama and northwest Florida. When Gayfers parent company, Mercantile Stores, was sold to Dillards in 1998, I later became the Marketing Director for All Pro Sound in Pensacola, Florida. In 2012, I was named Marketing Director for Pro SVL. I retired in 2016.
I was married to Debbie Heidelberg of Silverhill for 45 years. We met while I was at the University of West Florida.
